bonnie scotland road trip

For my last weekend Phil and I decided to take a roadie around some of the Highlands, a perfect way to end this time in the UK and particularly Scotland.

This. This is why I love Scotland

summer festival: t in the park

One of the things I wanted to do while living over here was go to a music festival. T in the Park might not be the biggest or considered the best, but it was definitely the most convenient! Luckily it also ended up being pretty sweet.

I feel like some of our experience should be a guide on what NOT to do at T in the Park, but it's always the ridiculous things that make it in the end.

So here is the T in the Park Adventure according to Sonja, Sophie, Danny and Tom, with a guest appearance by the Bolton Crew.

So at this stage it looks as though I will be leaving Edinburgh in less than 8 months.

road tripping scotland

While my family were over we had a car between Christmas and New Year, which gave us a really good chance to explore some of Scotland. There is so much to see but you can see a lot in a short time as well.

getting older on the isle of skye

- the human spirit needs places where nature has not been rearranged by the hand of man -

For my birthday weekend I wanted to do something special and not just stay around Edinburgh. After much deliberation Jess and I planned a trip to the Isle of Skye. We started looking into it months before and when the time finally arrived it definitely lived up to my expectations!

a day in england - berwick-upon-tweed

To alleviate my boredom for another day I decided to train to another seaside destination. This time Berwick-upon-Tweed, which is actually just across the border in England. I didn't know a lot about it, just that it was a small town with part of it surrounded by walls from the Elizabethan era. The town has been back and forth between England and Scotland in the past, and I found it interesting that the souvenir shop had mostly Scottish postcards!
